Chromebook may’ve not got the desired traction but Google hopes to change that with a cheaper Chromebook variant, powered by an ARM-based processor. Google has teamed up with Samsung to introduce the latest Chromebook that will go for just $249.99 and feature Samsung’s in-house built Exynos 5 Dual clocked at 1.7GHz.
Google says the notebook boots under 10 seconds and will get 100GB of free Drive storage for the first two years. As for the hardware specs, the Chromebook features an 11.6-inch display supporting a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, 16GB SSD, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, mic, VGA camera and a 3-in-1 card reader.
Google will also launch a 3G variant of the same Chromebook and will go for $329.99.
