HTC’s 5-inch smartphone with full HD display has been expected for quite some time and it seems Japanese consumers will be the first ones to get it via KDDI. Behold the HTC J Butterfly that comes with a 5-inch Super LCD 3 panel supporting a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels or 440 pixels per inch (PPI).
Under the hood, the Android 4.1 phablet from HTC features a 1.5GHz APQ8064 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 8MP and 2.1MP cameras (rear and front), LTE support, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 2020mAh battery.
The J Butterfly is also waterproof and is rated at IPX5.
KDDI will release the phone in early December in color choices of red, black and white.
