Google has started rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to its current-generation Nexus phone. GSM-based Galaxy Nexus users should receive a notification on their phones to update to the latest Android OS. The Android 4.1.1 update brings a lot of improvements to the device making it faster and smoother and adds new features like expandable and actionable widgets, better search, Google Now and more.
Meanwhile, its Jelly Bean-running Nexus 7 also got the Android 4.1.1 update but adds some minor improvements and Google Wallet app.
Other devices like Nexus S, Motorola Xoom and CDMA Galaxy Nexus are expected to receive the JB treatment later this month.
