At an event in New Delhi today, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S III smartphone for the Indian market. Unlike the case with Galaxy S II, Samsung, this time, has focused on both hardware as well as software for Galaxy S III. The flagship Android runs Android 4.0 OS out of the box and features 1.4GHz quad-core CPU along with 1GB RAM. Moreover, the phone comes with 21Mbps HSPA+ support, huge 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED Display (1280×720), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, NFC with S Beam support, 8MP main camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, full HD video recording playback and recording support, NFC, GPS, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot (up to 64GB) and 2100mAh battery.
On the software front, users will find some interesting features like Smart Stay, Smart Alert, Direct Call, Pop up play, S Voice, S Beam, Buddy Photo Share, Best Photo and more.
It will sell for Rs. 43,180 and Vodafone users will be eligible for 3GB of free data for 2 months.
