If you had any doubts on Samsung’s supremacy in the Android arena perhaps this little figure released by Samsung today would suffice your apprehension. The Korean giant has announced that its Galaxy S II phone has surpassed sales of 20 million units in just 10 months of its launch. Although the numbers reflect the global sales to retailers, operators and other distributors, it’s a major milestone nonetheless.
Apparently, this is the only Android smartphone that has managed to reach this milestone faster than any other Android. Even Samsung’s own Galaxy S took 7 months more to reach the same milestone.
As for the cumulative sales of Galaxy S and Galaxy S II, Samsung has managed to sell in excess of 42 million handsets worldwide.
