Sensing a rapid rise of smartphone usage worldwide, Panasonic has announced to expand its smartphone operations from Japan to other regions. Europe will be the first region to receive their “ultra-slim D-shaped” phone in March 2012. The unnamed phone will boast a 4.3-inch OLED display with QHD resolution support, will be waterproof and dustproof and NFC support.
Panasonic estimates to sell 1.5m handsets in Europe next year and gradually expand to other regions like Asia, China and United States.
