HTC and Verizon announce Rezound with Beats Audio

HTC Rezound

 

Verizon Wireless has added a new handset to its Android offerings courtesy of HTC. HTC Rezound is the first handset for American consumers to feature Beats Audio that claims to give unmatched audio performance compared to other Android handsets.

Apart from the audio prowess, Rezound is a decently spec’d phone with Qualcomm’s MSM8660 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 OS which will be upgradeable to Android 4.0 in early 2012, HTC Sense UI, 4.3-inch 720p HD display, 8MP f/2.2 at the back and 2MP camera on the front, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, TV-out via MHL, 16GB internal memory with 16GB microSD pre-installed and 1620mAh battery.

Verizon will start selling the phone from November 14 for a price of $299.99 with a two-year contract.
