Google has updated its Translate app for Android and it brings one of the most useful features that will be lauded by tourists. In addition to the regular text translation, the Translate app now offers speech-to-speech translation. This could be helpful for tourists who don’t understand the language while vacationing in another country.
Google says this Conversation mode is currently in alpha but supports 15 languages including Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Russian and Turkish.
You can download the app for free from Android Market.
