Samsung’s new tablets have got the official acknowledgement for the Indian market. The Galaxy Tab 750 (10.1) and Galaxy Tab (8.9) will be available from this and next month respectively at a price tag of Rs. 36,200 and Rs. 33,990. The price sounds steep but the asking price is for the 3G version as India won’t get the cheaper Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab.
Anyways, other than the different screen size and battery capacity, both tablets run Android Honeycomb OS overlaid with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI and features 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 720p HD video recording, 1080p HD video playback, Readers and Social Hub, GPS, Wi-Fi, HSPA+ supporting up to 21Mbps and 16GB internal memory.
Samsung has teamed up with Vodafone to offer Galaxy Tab 750 users 2GB 3G data for 6 months at Rs. 3,000.
