Samsung TouchWiz update for Galaxy Tab 10.1 releasing on Aug 5

Although Samsung will update Galaxy Tab 10.1 for users visiting the New York store, most Galaxy Tab 10.1 owners will receive the update couple of days later. Samsung has announced the major software update for Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available over-the-air to consumers starting August 5. The OTA update will bring Samsung’s own TouchWiz UX along with other additions like Live Panel, Mini Apps, Quick Panel and Photo Editor.

The update will also preload few apps like Media and Social Hub, Amazon Cloud Player, Kindle and Words with Friends.

As for the business users, Samsung will add full support of Exchange ActiveSync 14, on device encryption, Cisco VPN and Webex.
