RIM has updated one of the strongest apps (and a service) available on BlackBerry — the BlackBerry Messenger. The Canadian company has bumped the app to version 6 which now supports “BBM Connected” apps. This function integrates BBM service and allows users to chat with their friends from the app itself. For instance, a user can invite their BBM friends to join in a BBM connected game or chat with them without opening the BBM app.
Some of the apps that support this feature are Pocket Ants, Foursquare, Huffington Post, Jingu, Poynt, ScoreMedia and more.
BBM 6 is available as a free download from the BlackBerry App World.
