T-Mobile has expanded its myTouch lineup of phones with the 4G-enabled myTouch 4G Slide. Developed by HTC, the phone claims to have the most advanced camera in a smartphone that can be a viable replacement for entry-level point-and-shoot cameras.
Backing its best camera claim, the phone features an 8 megapixel sensor with dual LED flash and comes with a backside illuminated sensor and wider aperture lens that improves low light performance, has a zero-shutter lag, SweepShot to capture panoramic pictures, ClearShot HDR for clicking photos in high-contrast lighting, BurstShot to shoot pictures in quick succession and 1080p full HD video recording.
Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 OS with HTC Sense UI 3.0, 3.7-inch WVGA LCD, Swype on-screen keyboard or a sliding physical keyboard and 4G support.
The phone will be released in July for $199.99 on 2-year contract.
