RIM’s professional-grade tablet has finally come to India. Blackberry maker unveiled the PlayBook at an event in Mumbai and will hit retail channels soon. Coming in storage capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, the PlayBook is RIM’s answer to various Android tablets and the iPad.
The 7-inch tablet is based on QNX OS and features 1GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, full HD video playback, 3MP front and 5MP rear cameras, 1080p video recording support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, gyroscope and magnetometer. The PlayBook will also be able to run Android apps in the near future.
The PlayBook will sell for Rs.27,990 (16GB), Rs.32,990 (32GB) and Rs.37,990 (64GB).
