Aircel has officially announced the release date and pricing of the iPhone 4 for Indian consumers. Starting this Friday, users will be able to pick the 16GB or 32GB iPhone 4 for a price of Rs.34,500 and Rs.40,900 respectively. Mobile phones in international markets are generally subsidized from the purchase but Aircel is adopting something known as reverse subsidy.
Reverse subsidy works by paying the iPhone 4 price in full and getting discounts on the monthly bill over a period of 2 years.
Airtel too is expected to reveal all the details soon, possibly in the next few hours.
