Microsoft today previewed the next major update that will be available to all Windows Phone 7 users in coming weeks. Codenamed as “Mango,” the update features more than 500 additions and improvements that will take the Windows Phone to a whole new level.
Some of the new features that you’ll see in the update are the Thread view, tight social networking integration with the apps, linked inbox that shows multiple account emails in one.
Other things Microsoft has updated are the real-time Live Tiles, Multitasking, IE9 browser and more.
Additionally, Microsoft also announced new partners who’ll develop Windows Phone 7 based devices. New partners include Acer, Fujitsu and ZTE Corp.
The Mango update will be released beginning this fall and exact availability will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
