After more than a week of blackout due to hacking of PlayStation Network and Qriocity services, Sony has announced that they’ll start the restoration process in a phased manner. Sony also announced that they’re working to track down and prosecute hackers responsible for this “illegal intrusion” and as a part of a security enhancement, users will have to update their PS3 with a forced update that will require them to change PSN password before signing in.
Additionally, to compensate the week-long outage of the services, Sony will offer some incentive to its users like 30 days of free PlayStation Plus premium service to regular and premium service users and some free content for Qriocity users.
