The only thing Google Docs was lacking was a mobile app and here it is, the first native app by Google for the Android OS. The Docs app, which is now available on the Android Market, allows users to edit or create documents right on the phone that can be shared with anyone, just like the web interface of the Docs.
Another handy function the app gains is the optical character recognition (OCR), which means a user can point their phone camera to click a picture of the text to create an editable document.
The Google Docs app works only on devices running Android 2.1 or higher.
