Samsung’s bada 2.0 OS that was detailed at the MWC in February has got a release date. Samsung exec, Dipesh Shah confirmed to Financial Express that Samsung is looking to launch bada 2.0 in July, which we assume is the month for an Indian release.
The article also claims Samsung will vie to acquire a smartphone market share to around 30 percent from the present 10-15 percent.
On the other hand, bada fansite, bada World published plans for upcoming bada 2.0 phones. Samsung is planning to launch two Wave devices – one flagship in September and another in November. The first device is expected to have 3.65-inch display, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, dual cameras – 5MP and VGA front-facing, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and NFC.
The other device seems to be a mid-range one with a smaller 3.14-inch display, 3MP camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and NFC.
