Nintendo 3DS

Folks in the Land of Rising Sun are the first ones to get their hands on Nintendo’s latest three-dimensional wonder. The 3DS went on sale in Japan this weekend and as you’d expect, Nintendo saw a very strong support in its homeland, selling 400,000 units, including pre-orders. Some stores had to cater to 2,000 gamers waiting in line to pick up their 25,000 Yen 3DS.

3DS is the first gaming console from Nintendo that comes with an autostereoscopic 3D display and does not require any special glasses.

Nintendo 3DS is expected to launch on March 25 in Europe whereas US will get it couple of days later on March 27.
