Dell has expanded it’s mobile phone offerings for the Indian market with the addition of two new phones — Android 2.2 running Venue and Windows Phone 7 powered Venue Pro.
Both phones look identical except for the fact that the Venue Pro has a vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard. On the spec front, the Venue features a 1GHz processor and boasts a 4.1-inch AMOLED display protected by the curved Gorilla Glass. Additionally, it has 3G support, 8MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD card slot and 1400mAh battery. It will retail for Rs.29,990.
The Venue Pro is a WP7-based version of Venue that also has a 1GHz CPU with the same AMOLED display and 3G support. It however, downgrades the cam to 5MP but adds 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 8GB internal memory. Dell Venue Pro is pegged at Rs.34,990.
Dell has teamed up with Aircel where its subscribers can avail exclusive data plans using these devices.
