Joining the long list of speculations about Apple devices is that Apple might integrate a new A4 chip. AppleInsider is citing their source who claims that the next A4 System-on-Chip (SoC) will use SGX543 graphics that gives double the processing power at the A4’s current GPU clock speed. Moreover, the graphics on the SoC will have two cores enabling faster video encoding/decoding, improved game graphics and HDMI support.
However, graphics is not the only thing that Apple is looking to bump. Reportedly, Apple will also use a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor for better processing.
The new A4 chip will supposedly be used in iPhone 5 and iPad 2.
