It seems Research in Motion is readying a new device that will sit atop all other Blackberry phones. Behold the Blackberry Dakota that unfortunately, isn’t powered by Playbook’s powerful QNX OS but has the specs that will best other BB devices.
The Dakota will feature a Bold styling and will come with some interesting features like NFC support, HD video recording, 3G mobile hotspot and BB OS 6.1. Additionally, the phone will support quad-band GSM, tri-band 3G and have a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display, 4GB internal storage, 768MB RAM, 5MP camera, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, microUSB port, Bluetooth and a girth of just 10.5mm.
The only missing deets right now are the price and availability, which we assume should be out soon.
