It’s been just a week since Google’s Nexus S went on sale but has already received its first firmware update. Well, it’s not as big as you’d expect but the 1.9MB GRH78 update squashes some bugs in the Gingerbread OS as well as add the newest version of Maps. Moreover, the Android OS’ version has been upped to v2.3.1.
It’s an OTA (over-the-air) update and chance of getting the update notification is quite high but for any reason you’re still waiting for it, you can dial *#*#checkin#*#* to force the phone to receive the notification.
