Unlimited access to DRMed music is something yet to take off but Cricket is taking great pride in announcing that they’re the first US carrier to announce a music service giving unlimited access to millions of songs. For $55 a month, a user will unlimited data, text, calling and even full songs, ringtones and ringback tones.
Since the service is restricted with DRMed songs, only select models will work with the service and the first device to support is Samsung’s Suede. It’s a touchscreen-equipped messaging phone that supports Muve and comes with a dedicate Muve Music key.
Suede (SCH-r710) will be released in January 2011 alongside the music service and features a 3-inch screen, 3G support, virtual QWERTY keyboard, microSD card slot and more.
The phone will sell for $199.
