Asus has expanded its O!Play media player range with the new HD2 model. Asus touts the O!Play HD2 is the world’s first media player to feature support for USB 3.0 that will allow consumers to stream high-definition content at faster speeds.
O!Play HD2’s uniqueness comes from the fact that it comes with a slot for 3.5-inch HDDs, which means a user can add terabytes of storage to the player and also make it work as an external hard drive or as a network-attached storage drive (NAS).
Additionally, the HD2 supports wide variety of multimedia formats including M2TS and MKV and supports DLNA, iTunes server support, HDMI 1.3, USB/eSATA port, card reader slot and can be controlled by an iPhone.
Asus will sell the O!Play HD2 for Rs.8,000 plus taxes.
