Apple iOS 4.2 now available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch

Apple has announced that iOS 4.2 for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is now available for download. iOS 4.2 claims to bring over 100 new features with iPad being the major beneficiary gaining Multitasking, Folders, Unified Inbox, Game Center, AirPlay, AirPrint and improved enterprise support.

While most features are available on iPhone and iPod touch, both the smaller devices now support AirPlay that allows to wirelessly stream multimedia content to Apple TV and AirPrint to wirelessly print documents over Wi-Fi.

Another feature has been improved and made available to all the devices is Find My iPhone. The new Find My iPhone app can locate your missing device without needing a MobileMe subscription and allow users to remotely lock or erase data from the device. However, this feature is available only with the iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod touch (4th generation).

The iOS 4.2 update can be downloaded from iTunes.
