Google might have not unveiled Gingerbread OS at the Web 2.0 Summit but Google CEO, Eric Schmidt was seen showing off an “unannounced phone” that looked like Samsung’s Nexus S. While he didn’t reveal more details but we do know that Nexus S will be the apparent successor of Google’s Nexus One device.
Schmidt also confirmed that Gingerbread OS will be out in the “next few weeks” and there’s a strong chance Nexus S will be the device powered by the new OS.
The phone will apparently arrive on T-Mobile and will support NFC for contactless payments.
