Apple brings Beatles on iTunes

Talk about unnecessary hype. Apple’s teaser yesterday for us was to bring Beatles on iTunes. Frankly, not as memorable for me but it sure is an unforgettable day for Steve Jobs (who is a big Beatles fan). Nevertheless, starting today, Beatles’ 13 remastered studio albums along with iTunes LPs are available on the iTunes store.

“We love the Beatles and are honored and thrilled to welcome them to iTunes,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “It has been a long and winding road to get here. Thanks to the Beatles and EMI, we are now realizing a dream we’ve had since we launched iTunes ten years ago.”

Beatles’ individual songs go for $1.99 each whereas users can download a single album for $12.99 or two albums for $19.99.
