It’s no secret that iPhone, iPod touch and an iPad cannot play Flash videos and instead relies on HTML5 to show videos. However, Skyfire with its Skyfire 2.0 browser has found a way to play Flash-enabled videos. Skyfire for iOS transcodes Flash videos to HTML5 on-the-fly, thus fulfilling user demand to view Flash videos and Apple’s criteria of using HTML5.
The browser also adds more features like showing related content and media, social sharing on facebook or twitter, ability to change the browser user-agent and private browsing.
Skyfire for iOS will be available in the App Store from Thursday for $2.99.
