Apple’s shindig on Wednesday will be related to its Macbook Air line rather than a new OS. According to a source of Cult of Mac, Apple will reveal two models of Macbook Air.
First will be an upgrade to its 13.3-inch Macbook Air – a pricey option whereas an 11.6-inch netbook-ish version with a cheaper price point. The notebooks are tipped to boot really fast and will sport a new boxier design, akin to iPhone 4 in a thinner and lighter shell.
Additionally, the new MBAs will have an SD card slot, increased RAM, integrated Nvidia graphics, multi-touch glass trackpad and a faster CPU.
The site’s source pegs the 11-inch MBA to start from $999 and 13-inch from $1100.
