Apple is already entangled in a legal battle with HTC and Nokia and now Motorola has joined in claiming that Apple products infringe some of its patents. Motorola has filed a complaint with the U.S. ITC that Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and some Mac PCs infringe Motorola’s 18 patents.
These patents are related to WCDMA (3G), GPRS, 802.11, antenna design, wireless email, proximity sensing, software application management, location-based services and multi-device synchronization.
Motorola has requested to ITC to look into the complaint and if found guilty, Motorola wants to stop imports and sales of infringed products.
