Skype today has released its Skype client for Android devices. Users can now make free Skype-to-Skype calls, instant message to other Skype users on-the-go and even make calls to cell phones and landlines (needs Skype Credit) using a Wi-Fi or the phone’s 3G connection.
Skype says the app works fine on HTC and Motorola devices and are working to make it function properly with Samsung’s Galaxy S. Another issue, which is restricted to US users is that the app won’t allow Skype calls from 3G.
Users can download Skype by pointing the phone’s browser to skype.com/m or download it from the Android Market.
