Apple today announced an update to its Safari 5 that activates Safari Extensions. Apple introduced the Extension feature with Safari 5 and with the latest 5.0.1 update, users will be able to download various Extensions from the newly launched Extensions Gallery.
The extensions are built on web technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript and allow users to quickly download them from the Extensions gallery or developer’s site. Few featured extensions available right now are Twitter, Bing Highlights, MLB.com etc.
Apart from this, Safari 5 also features Safari Reader that displays multipage articles into one page reading, fast Nitro JavaScript engine and HTML5 compliant.
