Airtel seems unperturbed with Apple’s antennagate as they’ve confirmed to be in talks with the iPhone maker. At an industry conference, Sanjay Kapoor from Airtel confirmed that they’re working with Apple and is looking to launch the latest iPhone iteration sometime in September or October.
“We are working with Apple…hopefully (Bharti will launch) in the September, October timeframe.”
Vodafone, another Indian operator that sells iPhone exclusively had already confirmed about the iPhone 4 but didn’t specify anything except the promise to launch in the coming months.
Apple is expecting to launch iPhone 4 in 88 countries in September, so the ninth month of the year seems more likely.
