Apple to repair faulty 2008 Time Capsules

Apple has issued a knowledge base article that confirms some Time Capsules they sold off in 2008 are defective. Some Time Capsules faced an unexpected death or a shutdown just after it was started.
Apple has now detailed saying that Time Capsules that were sold in between February 2008 to June 2008 were affected and more specifically, Time Capsules from this serial number range: XX807XXXXXX – XX814XXXXXX.
If you happen to own the Time Capsule fulfilling both the above conditions, Apple will repair or replace the device for free.
