It’s not official yet but Unwiredview has got the intrinsic deets from a transcribed podcast of mobile whiz Eldar Murtazin, who’s known for his inside knowledge in the mobile industry. According to him, the Gingerbread update will be released in mid-October with the first handsets expected by Nov-Dec.
With the new update, Google will up the minimum hardware requirements to 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 3.5-inch screen and a 1280×760 resolution support for screens higher than 4-inch. Other than that, Android 3.0 will sport a completely revamped UI and won’t need overlay UI like TouchWiz, HTC Sense, Motoblur to enhance it.
