Sony has released new firmware updates for its PS3 and PSP gaming consoles. The PS3 update now stands at v3.40 and supports Sony’s new PlayStation Plus service. The PlayStation Plus is a premium service where users will be able to access exclusive content and features like special offers, full game trial, automatic downloads and more. Users buying the service for a full year till Aug 3 will get downloadable copy of LittleBigPlanet game.
Other features present in the firmware are improved photo gallery allowing uploading, sharing photos on Flickr or Picasa; Video editor and uploader for Facebook & YouTube; rating system for PSN store content; new power-save settings; and improved Facebook application.
The v6.30 update for PSP now has an option to group games in folders.
