Nokia has unveiled the offerings at Everyone Connects event and it turns out be to neither of what we’d been expecting. They’ve announced three phones that bring along the QWERTY keyboard with social networking and messaging capabilities.
Starting with the C3, it’s the first Series 40 phone to sport a physical QWERTY keyboard. For a price of around 90 euros, a user will get the liberty to access various social networks right from the homescreen and comes with Ovi Chat, Mail support. The phone does not feature 3G but integrates Wi-Fi. Rest of the features include a 2.4-inch QVGA display, Webkit-based browser and Opera Mini, FM Radio, 2MP camera with 4x digital zoom, 3.5mm AV connector, handsfree speaker, microSD card slot (up to 8GB) and talk time of up to 7 hours. C3 will arrive in this quarter in golden white, slate grey and hot pink.
C6 is a sliding QWERTY phone from Nokia. The horizontal slider features a QWERTY beneath it and features a 3.2-inch touchscreen nHD (640×360) display, 3G, Wi-Fi, 5MP autofocus camera with flash, secondary video calling camera, A-GPS, Ovi Maps with free Navigation, Bluetooth, FM Radio, 3.5mm AV connector and up to 16GB microSD card slot. It will also arrive in this quarter in black or white for 220 euros.
Finally the E5, that carries the DNA of executive smartphones along with social networking prowess. It runs on S60 v3 with FP2 and features the same social networking benefits as the models above. Other than that, the phone has HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2.4-inch QVGA LCD, 5MP camera with flash, 3.5mm AV connector, A-GPS with Ovi Maps with free navigation and microSD slot (up to 32GB). The phone will be available in Q3 of 2010.
