Toshiba introduces 2.5-inch 750GB and 1TB HDDs

Toshiba has expanded its 2.5-inch range of hard drives with the inclusion of MK7559GSXP 750GB and MK1059GSM 1TB HDD. The former one is a 9.5mm drive that boasts a two-platter design, achieves industry’s highest areal density at 839.1M bit/mm2 and consumes up to 14% less power as compared to its older 640GB sibling.

The 1TB offering is a three-platter 12.5mm HDD that gives immense storage for users to store in a compact form factor.

Both the drives have a rotational speed of 5,400RPM, support SATA interface and 8MB buffer memory.
