Xbox 360

Time and again we hear a similar statement from MS so it’s not surprising we’re hearing it again when someone compared Xbox 360’s DVD format size restrictions to that of PS3’s Blu-ray. CVG recently had a sit down with Stephen McGill, director of Xbox and Entertainment and this is what he replied.

“We have no plans to adopt [a] Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360. In fact, the future of home entertainment started last autumn when Xbox 360 became the first and only console to offer instant-on 1080p streaming HD movies.”

It’s clear that Microsoft won’t accept Blu-ray as an alternative for high quality movies but what about games? Recently, Capcom claimed to cut down content from Lost Planet 2 game.

Apparently, new models as hinted by Steve Ballmer should resolve the issue.
