WD has introduced its My Passport Studio Portable hard drives in India. The drive appeals to Mac users because of its integrated FireWire 800 port, pre-formatted with HFS+, TimeMachine support, 256-bit hardware based encryption and automatic as well as continuous backup with WD’s bundled SmartWare software.

Additionally, the drives also have an USB 2.0 port to ensure maximum compatibility and a unique e-ink display that shows the drive’s storage status or personalized labels even when the drive is unplugged.

My Passport Studio HDDs come in 500GB and 640GB capacities and are priced at Rs. 9,600 and Rs. 10,750 respectively.
