SanDisk has announced that they’ve begun shipping its highest capacity SDXC memory card. The 64GB SDXC is now available in U.S. for a hefty $349.99 and has a Class 4 speed rating with transfer speeds of up to 15MB/s, which is said to be the ideal speed to record and store full HD content.
The SDXC cards are based on SD 3.0 spec and use exFAT file structure that helps it to record long HD videos. Currently, many devices aren’t available to take advantage of the high capacity cards but SanDisk believes more devices are expected soon amongst consumer electronic devices ranging from HDTVs, Blu-ray players, cameras, mobile phones etc.
