Microsoft is already selling 250GB Xbox 360 bundles in US & Europe but Japanese will be the first ones to get the 250GB HDD as an add-on accessory. The drive will be available in retail stores from March 11 for 15,540 Yen ($172) and as per Microsoft’s spokesman, Kei Iwasaki, MS currently does not have any plan to launch it outside the land of rising sun.
The new drive will allow users to store double the content than the currently selling top-of-the-line 120GB Xbox 360 Elite console.
In addition to a larger capacity drive, Microsoft also announced an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Game Pack and WLAN Adapter supporting 802.11n. These two will also go on sale on March 11 for 5775 Yen ($64) and 8925 Yen ($99) respectively.
