E-book readers were found aplenty on the CES showfloor but one company that refrained to show their creation was Asus. However, they’ve now decided to spill some details as well as a picture of their e-book reader, dubbed as DR-570. The DR-570 is expected to hit the retail shelves by the end of this year and will feature a 6-inch OLED screen capable of showing video, flash content, Wi-Fi, 3G and more. The feature set doesn’t seem to excite until you hear its battery life claim. Apparently, the reader can give up to 122 hours of juice in a single charge, which is not under lab but in real world conditions. We’re not sure what to say but if it’s true, Asus’ reader can give e-ink equipped readers, a serious run for their money. Hopefully, it won’t cost a bomb to own.

The next model is DR-950, a 9-inch model that will have an e-ink touchscreen display supporting a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. [...]

  2. [...] talked, showed their e-book reader creations and now they deem CeBIT as the right place to make it official. [...]
