A new digital camera from Samsung has been unearthed by way of an FCC filing. The ST5500 seems to up the previous best ST1000 point-and-shoot by providing oodles of features. The 14.2MP camera boasts a Schneider-Kreuznach lens with 7X optical zoom, a 3.5-inch full touch LCD display, dual image optical stabilization, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, DLNA, 720p HD video recording, integrated HDMI port and 100MB internal memory with expandable via microSD card slot.
To further enhance the photographs, the camera comes with features like face/blink detection, different shooting modes, touch focus, face recognition, up to ISO 3200 and more.
There’s no word on the release but can be expected soon since its already got the nod from FCC. CES is the most likely venue for the official unveiling.
