Latest Xbox update makes unauthorized storage devices incompatible

Xbox LIVE Preview Program that brings Zune, Facebook and Twitter to Xbox 360 is underway but with the latest update there’s another change that won’t go well with the Xbox 360 users. The update makes the unauthorized memory units used in the console incompatible, effectively forcing you to buy certified (overpriced?) Xbox 360 storage devices. In short, if you want to enjoy the recently gained social networking skills, you’ll have to buy an authorized storage device soon.
