Nikon today announced a new FX-format DSLR that claims to take top notch photos under low-light conditions. The 12.1MP D3S borrows the image quality and speed from D3 but brings exceptional sensitivity range going up to ISO 102,400 with low noise and decent image quality to satisfy the needs of offset printing.
Enhanced picture quality is further helped by integrating the latest generation of EXPEED imaging processor, 51AF points, 3D Color Matrix Metering II.
Nikon D3S is capable to record HD videos (1280×720) at 24fps and can also benefit from the high sensitivity range. Users can extract single frame as JPEG with the help of motion JPEG codec or edit the clip right in the camera itself.
Other features it includes are dual CompactFlash card slots, 921K dot 3-inch LCD, HDMI port and rugged construction to protect from dust, moisture and shock.
Nikon D3S will be available in late November in US for $5200.
