New phones from Asus will grace the Indian stores soon. Asus India’s Business Head, Edward Wang confirmed they’ll soon be launching touchscreen multimedia phones loaded with LBS.
“We have the expertise in multimedia touch-screen phones. At present, we are selling at least six multimedia phones priced between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 26,000 apart from a couple of signature PDA phones, but we will soon be launching touch-screen multimedia phones loaded with location-based services and priced around Rs. 15,000.”
Though Asus did not say anything about Garmin, it is safe to assume that the location-based services will be provided by the Garmin.
Asus also confirmed that they’ll launch couple of PDA phones this festive season that will cost Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 40,000.
