So it all started in July when FCC officially asked Apple, Google and AT&T the reasons for rejecting Google’s Google Voice app. And then came August where all the concerned parties submitted their justification to FCC with Apple claiming to neither accept or deny the app; AT&T claimed it had no role to play; and Google, well, they redacted the statement – until now that is.
In light of consumers filing the Freedom of Information Act request and in the “interest of transparency”, Google has revealed the redacted the statement. Unfortunately for Apple, this totally contradicts what they claimed. It will be interesting to see how Apple responds to this. Looks like a busy weekend is in order at the Cupertino.
