Samsung has got WB5000 to the fray, boasting a 12.5MP sensor and Schneider-KREUZNACH 26mm wide-angle lens with 24x optical zoom. It joins Samsung’s high-end WB Series and the latest offering tries to give something to everyone.
Advanced photography enthusiasts will like its manual shooting as well as aperture and shutter priority modes while first timers or amateurs will make use of its Smart Auto mode that adjusts every setting according to environment, with only need to click the shutter button.
Other things rounding up the feature set is 720p HD recording using H.264 compression, 3-inch LCD, RAW image support, Face Recognition, Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Detection, Beauty Shot and ability to save 20 preferred faces that when camera identifies them, prioritizes them for focus and exposure.
No details on the pricing but CNet who recently got a hands-on, suggests a Q4 release.
